Cowan's Canine Care exists for one stretch of a dog's life that almost nobody shops well for: the last few years.
The pet industry is built around puppies. Puppy food, puppy toys, puppy training. Then one day you notice your dog taking the stairs one at a time, or standing at the top of them deciding whether it's worth it. And suddenly you're searching at 11pm for something — anything — that helps.
What we actually do
We carry a deliberately small range — around a dozen products — chosen for four things that go wrong as dogs age: joints and mobility, sleep and comfort, teeth and daily care, and anxiety and cognitive decline. If a product doesn't clearly help with one of those, we don't sell it.
What we won't do
We won't promise a cure. We won't tell you a chew replaces your veterinarian. And we won't sell you fear. Senior dogs get old — the goal is comfort, dignity and good days, not miracles.
